ABOUT JOHNNY ROMERO
Johnny Romero specializes in presentations on apologetics and defense of the Catholic Faith, on the life issues, on culture war issues, on apologetics (defending the Faith) and on evangelization.
Formerly, Johnny was a lukewarm, even secular, Catholic and then began studying other faith traditions while serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Johnny effectively left the Catholic Faith in his youth, but as his reversion began, God graced him with a burning desire to learn the faith he had left behind. Later, with support from his brother, Catholic evangelist/speaker Jesse Romero and Catholic media pioneer/radio host Terry Barber, Johnny studied his way back to a lively ongoing practice of the Catholic Faith.
Today, as a devoted father (to six children) and husband, Johnny currently teaches Rite of Christian Initiation courses as his parish’s RCIA director and leads parish evangelization retreats.
Johnny’s RCIA program focuses not only on formation in the basic teachings of the Catholic Church, but also on teaching every present and future Catholic “how you can explain you faith intelligently, defend your faith charitably, and share your faith effectively.”
Previously, Johnny was a featured speaker for the CRC Bookstore and Saint Joseph Communications’ conferences. More recently, Johnny Romero has become a featured speaker at events hosted by the Catholic Resource Center, speaking at Apologetics, Evangelization, Biblical Studies and Men’s conferences.
